Hey, I’m Luke!! I started playing guitar at 14 and recording at 16 using Logic Pro. I was recording covers — a lot of them. I started songwriting at 17 when I was commissioned to make music for people on hold — from this, I learned how to make music that didn’t upset people. I also started drumming around this time. I transferred to Berklee College of Music at age 20 for Contemporary Writing and Production. Around this time, I picked up the bass. I quickly realized that this was a better tool for making people dance than any of the instruments I had played before.
I played in many bands in my mid-20s, from ones where I had to play a 6-string bass in drop C to ones that played vaguely acoustic soul music. Then I started an instrumental funk band, the Jeb Bush Orchestra, which I led for 5 years. In that time I also picked up piano and synthesizer, and started recording and mixing my own music on all instruments. I can give lessons in bass, drums, guitar, Ableton, synthesizer (if you have one), theory, songwriting, and recording. Contact me today to set up a first time lesson. Happy to work around your family schedule and offer a fair price!
