Hello! I'm Brian! I'm an award-winning composer, pianist, and visual artist based in Brooklyn, NYC. I have had works performed by ensembles such as the BBC Singers, Chelsea Symphony, members of the London Symphony Orchestra, Atlas Ensemble, Ensemble Signal, the Ligeti Quartet, and at festivals including Bang on a Can, London Contemporary Music Festival, June in Buffalo. I have received grants from New Music USA, Grammy Foundation, Jerome Fund, Mozaik Philanthropy, and ASCAP. In 2015-2017 I was appointed as an Associate Member with the London Symphony Orchestra’s Composer Soundhub Scheme. As a teacher I have much experience working with children and adults with piano and here in the US and the United Kingdom, preparing students for ABRSM exams in the UK and worldwide.

As an accompanist, vocal coach, and pianist, I have also taught piano, coached/taught singers and performers, and music theory/composition privately and with classroom settings for young kids, in San Francisco, New York City, and London, UK since 2004. I hold advanced degrees from the Royal Academy of Music (PhD in Music Composition), the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (Master's Degree in Composition), and Berklee College of Music (Bachelor's in Composition & Film Scoring). In addition, I have attended the European American Musical Alliance Summer Course in Paris, France in 2002 and 2008, which offers training in solfege, harmony, theory, counterpoint, and voice leading.
