BIO: Hey music fans! My name is Morgen, and music is my life! I was born in Minnesota, have lived in Michigan, and now reside in Chicago, IL. I am a professional musician with over 15 years in the Chicago market, collaborations through LA, Atlanta, and New York, and over 25 years of combined training and experience. The instruments I teach are voice and piano/keys. Voice being my specialty, I’ve made it a point to study all styles, including Musical Theater, Pop, Rock, Soul, Jazz, and Blues. I graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a Voice (B.A.) degree. During my tenure at Columbia, my voice teachers included Roberta Duchak, Bobbi Wilsyn, and Carol Laverde. My piano/keys instructor was Sebastian Huydts. Some of the venues/fests I enjoyed performing in the most are Carnegie Hall in NY, Summerfest in Milwaukee, the Vic Theater, Aragon Theater, and House of Blues in Chicago, just to name a few. I have also had the honor of sharing the stage alongside artists such as Koko Taylor, Louisiana Red, Buddy Guy, Styx, Everclear, Steve Augeri of Journey, Rusted Root, and Randall Hall of Lynyrd Skynyrd. I am currently the band leader of Spoken Four, the internationally traveled, award-winning cover band based out of Chicago. I also work as a specialist in event entertainment management, a voice-over artist, and a session/demo musician. As a teacher, I aim to help my students find their unique voice and style while teaching them the technique to help them perform as long as their hearts desire. So let’s make music, rock out, and, most of all, have fun!
