BIO: Hi there, my name is Cassandra! I graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a B.A. in Music (Classical Vocal Performance/Opera) and have 15 years of experience as a vocalist as well as 18 years of experience as a pianist.
While in school, I became friends with a professor who studied at Juilliard School and helped me hone my craft (in piano). It was a wonderful experience to work with her. I’ve performed an array of genres (as a vocalist), ranging from classical to theater to contemporary repertoire and have performed in various locations ranging from Philadelphia, PA to Vienna, Austria. I speak German, as well!
I’m a firm believer that music helps us become better people. When words fail, music speaks, and the more we know about ourselves, the easier it is to understand each other. I have taught for several music academies as well as privately for the past 9 years. Throughout that time, I’ve helped over 200 students, ages ranging from 4-56 years old, along their musical journey and have prepared many of them for various shows and auditions.
When I’m not teaching music, I’m teaching as a certified flight instructor, helping aspiring pilots make their dream a reality. It is important to me to create an enriching and fun environment for each of my students. I prioritize incorporating the fundamentals and proper technique within each lesson, while also making learning fun through engaging pieces and concepts. I can’t wait to meet you and help you, too!
